The intent of this message is to inform you that we have students in our district diagnosed with a variety of allergies. Several of the most severe include: peanut, latex and vanilla. As a district we are working to maintain a safe learning environment for all children.
In extreme cases, allergies may cause a life threatening reaction that requires the student to have immediate medical treatment. To reduce the likelihood of this occurring we are asking that you take note of any items used by your child that may contain vanilla, peanuts and/or latex. We ask that you refrain from knowingly sending your child to school with these types of items. If your child has used any of these products before coming to school, we ask that you wash your child’s hands and face thoroughly before entering the building. You can also encourage your child to use the hand sanitizers located in various locations around the building. We appreciate your support of these procedures and your help to ensure a safe environment for all students.
